DIAL is a joint venture association that operates, manages and maintains the IGI Airport. The company is directed by Bangalore headquartered global Infrastructure major GMR Group with a noteworthy pan-India and International existence. The association is dedicated towards upgrading and reorganizing the airport. All the development of IGI Airport is taking place under a phased Master Plan.
The airport is known to have four terminals, named: Terminal 1A, 1B, 1C & 1D. Out of these, Terminal 1A caters to domestic flights of Indian Airlines, Go Air and Air India Regional. Other private airlines like Kingfisher Airline, Kingfisher Red, IndiGo, Jet Airways, JetLite, and SpiceJet, operate from terminal 1D. Some executive aircraft/ private aviation activities also take place here. Terminal 1C caters to the arrivals of the airlines operating from Terminal 1A & 1D. IGI Airport hosts around 60 airlines. It also serves as the main hub to Indian Airlines, SpiceJet, Air India Regional and IndiGo Airlines. This is the second base of Air India and Jet Airways (after Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai).
Location of the airport: Situated towards the southern side of New Delhi, the Indira Gandhi International Airport (or DEL) is easily reachable from all major cities of India.
