In the recently held Condé Nast Traveller India Awards,
Hyderabad Airport has been awarded with the title of 'Most Favorite Airport in India'. This airport is the India's first Greenfield Airport that is developed through a Public Private Partnership initiative. The Terminal has an initial capacity of handling 12 million passengers per year. It gives a great leisure and shopping experience by featuring global brands across Duty Free, Retail, Food and Beverage categories. Transport facilities are available from across the city through Shuttle Buses, Radio Taxis and Executive Car Service. The airport is known for having the longest runway (4.26 km) of the country. This leads to smooth take-offs and landing of the aircrafts. There are 130 common check-in, 45 immigration counters, and 16 self check-in spots. This ensures smooth passenger flow and least queuing. The parking facilities are plenty enough to handle more than 3000 cars.
Other facilities include a 308 Room Business Hotel as part of Airport facility, A 17 bed medical centre with quality health care for passengers, and 25 Room lounges with shower and nap room facilities.
