When asked about the success story of the airport, Patna Airport’s director Arvind Dubey said: "Introduction of low-cost carriers, an increasing number of well-to-do Biharis settled outside Bihar who fly to their native state and an improved law and order condition are the main contributors to this success story."

Aviation industry sources revealed that the increased economic activities in Bihar and investment opportunities have contributed towards development of this airport.
