Visa Information

Tourist
The applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application for the visa (along with one set of photocopy of the first two pages and the last page); one visa application form (photocopy allowed) properly filled and duly signed by the applicant only; one recent passport-size colour photograph size 3x4 cms not older than six months; confirmed onward/ return air ticket with its photocopy (No booking slips are accepted by the Embassy); proof of financial capabilities to pay for period of stay (copy of international credit card or foreign exchange endorsement on passport) and a covering letter from the company giving details of the applicant. Visa is valid for arrival in Brazil within 90 days from the date of issue and is issued for a stay of 90 days from the date of first entry into Brazil. If the application is sent through a Travel Agent or authorised representative then an additional consular fee is levied. Processing time is 24 hours.All visa fees are required to be paid in form of demand draft in favour of Embassy of Brazil Payable in New Delhi.

Business
Documents required are same as above. Additional requirements are: a covering letter from the Indian organisation specifically stating the purpose of visit eg Marketing assessment, customer relations related activities etc (not just business discussions) and that it assumes full responsibility regarding the applicant?s business pursuits and the expenses connected with the visit; a letter of invitation from the associates in Brazil on their letterhead clearly mentioning the registration number of the company with all the details and a letter from the Chamber of Commerce or the Export Promotion Council. Visa is valid for arrival in Brazil within 90 days from the date of issue. A five-year business visa can also be issued. Processing time is 24 hours. If the application is sent through a Travel Agent or authorised representative an additional fee is levied.

Transit
The applicant should have a valid passport; one visa form; one passport-size photograph, confirmed onward air ticket, valid visa of country of destination and covering letter giving reasons for transit. The validity of the visa is for 90 days from the date of issue with a stay of maximum 10 days with a single entry only. Processing time is 24 hours. Visa fee is the same as Tourist visa

Seamen
Visa is required if the seaman is going to board the ship in Brazil. Seamen travelling on duty must hold letter of guarantee from the shipping company with seamen book. A covering letter giving the name of the ship, port and date of embarkation must be enclosed. Visa fee is the same as Business. Processing time is 24 hours.

Work
A contract must be signed between the interested party in India and the company in Brazil and approved by the Ministry of Labour, Brazil. After that, it must also be approved by the Ministry of External Affairs. The validity depends upon the approval received. The interested party must also present a non-criminal record certificate issued by Indian authorities.

Student
Proof of enrollment in an Educational Institution in Brazil, proof of sufficient funds to maintain in Brazil. Visa is valid for 1 yr and is renewable

Visa Information
Indian nationals proceeding to Bhutan do not require a visa under any category but must carry proof of identification. Visitors can enter Bhutan by road through the Indian territories at the border Town of Phuntsholing in the south of the country or by air to Paro. However, it is mandatory for foreign tourists to avail of Druk Air services one way i.e. either on entry or exit. In the Indian subcontinent, Druk Air (Royal Bhutan Airlines) operates their flights from New Delhi, Kolkata, Bangkok, Dhaka & Kathmandu. Foreign tourists must obtain ?Visa Clearance? from the Tourism Authority of Bhutan (TAB), Thimpu, prior to departing for Bhutan. Actual visa is stamped on the visitors passport on arrival at the Port of entry on payment of us $20 for a 15 day stay. Minimum 7 working days are required to obtain the visa clearance. Visa is granted for single entry only. Extension of visa, for a period not exceeding 6 months, can be obtained in Thimphu on payment of NU 510.

Aviation
Druk Air (KB) (Royal Bhutan Airlines), the national airline of Bhutan, is the only airline serving Bhutan. It is compulsory for all visitors to Bhutan to travel at least one way by Druk Air. Owing to the changeable Himalayan weather, travellers may experience delays. Druk Air operates flights from Delhi and Calcutta (India), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Bangkok (Thailand) and Khatmandu (Nepal). The airline flies twice weekly to Delhi via Kathmandu and thrice weekly to Bangkok (once via Calcutta and once via Dhaka). Additional flights are offered during the high seasons (from March to April and from September to October).
