One of the major economic
hubs of the north-eastern state of Assam, this city is
known for its oil and tea industries. North Eastern Frontier
Railway connects this end-point on the line with other
destinations in the north-east. People traveling to Arunachal
Pradesh use this city as a transit point. One must take
back some tea leaves from here, as it is one of the biggest
tea producing region in the world and famous worldwide
to produce the 'Assam tea'.
Hotels in Dibrugarh are not meant for a long time stay
and cater mainly travelers passing through the city, and
having a halt of one night or so.. However with the city
becoming more business oriented, Dibrugarh hotels are
