Vijaywada, literally meaning
'the city of victory', is located in the southern state
of Andhra Pradesh. It has one of the biggest, in fact,
the third biggest railway station in the world and is
known as the mecca of Andhra culture and the economical
center of Andhra Pradesh. A historical place, this city
on the banks on the river Krishna, has several monuments
and ruins. Kondapalli reserve forest is a nearby retreat
for the city dwellers.
