Asiana Airlines

Asiana Airlines was established on February 17, 1988. It is based in Seoul located in South Korea. It commenced its operations on December 1988, with flights to Busan. Its major hubs are situated at Gimpo International Airport (for domestic flights) and Incheon International Airport (for international flights).

The airline was set up by the Kumho Asiana Group, which is a South Korean company. The South Korean government began this airline as the part of its policy to create an additional flag carrier.

Asiana Airlines was previously named as Seoul Air International. Since its establishment, the airline has expanded its business at a very rapid tempo. It has burgeoned into a midsized comprehensive carrier, with a fleet of 69 aircraft (including cargo).

The airline makes sure that outstanding services are provided to its passengers, every time they are on board.

Recent Developments
In order to revise its corporate individuality, Asiana Airlines tailored its names of the travel classes, in February 2006. Now, First Class, Business Class and Economy Class of Asiana Airlines are known as First, Business and Travel classes, respectively. The colors for each class have also been changed. Currently, yellow, blue and red color schemes are assigned to the cabin of First, Business and Travel, respectively. Moreover, the airline has also planned new refreshing design for the uniform of its cabin crew.

Asiana Airlines Fleet:
The airline maintains a fleet comprised of both 31 narrow and 29 wide body aircrafts. The narrow body aircrafts include Airbus A320-200, Airbus A321-100, Airbus A321-200 and Boeing 737-400. On the other hand, the wide body aircrafts in the fleet of the airline are Airbus A330-300, Airbus A350, Boeing 747-400, Boeing 747-400 Combi, Boeing 767-300 and Boeing 777-200ER. The cargo fleet of the airline consists of nine aircrafts, including five Boeing 747-400F, three Boeing 747-400SF and one Boeing 767-300F aircraft.

Asiana Airlines Destinations:
Asiana Airline serves numerous destinations around the world. It covers Central Asia, including Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. It also covers major cities in the East Asian country of Korea, Japan and China including Beijing, Hong Kong, Haikou, Guilin, Shanghai, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Weihai, Xian, Yanji, Yantai, Mudanjiang, Nanchang, Nanjing and Qingdao. The airline also connects to major cities in India which is the only South Asian country covered by the airline.

In South East Asia, Asiana Airlines serves Cambodia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Besides, the airline covers to Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Russia, Sweden and United Kingdom, in Europe. It also connects to some of the major cities in North America, including Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Seattle. Sydney and Saipan are also covered by Asiana Airlines.
