British Airways

British Airways is the largest international scheduled airline in United Kingdom, in terms of the fleet size, number of international destinations covered and international flights. Besides, it is also the second largest airline in Europe after Air France-KLM. It provides extra flights from Europe across the Atlantic than any other airline. The major hubs of the airline are London Heathrow and London Gatwick.

On August 25, 1919 British Airways prototype company - Aircraft Transport and Travel (AT&T) - commenced the world's first daily international scheduled air service, between London and Paris. Four airlines of Britain which are Instone, Handley Page Transport, Daimler Airways and British Air Marine Navigation combined to structure Imperial Airways Limited.
