The record and foundation of
Delta Airlines can be sketched to the establishment of Huff Daland Dusters on May 30, 1924 in Macon in Georgia. Huff Daland Dusters became the world's first aero-crop dusting company, which scattered fertilizers, pesticides and fungicides from an agricultural aircraft. In 1923, the carrier moved to Monroe in Louisiana. In 1928, C.E. Woolman bought Huff Daland Dusters and changed its brand name to 'Delta Air Services', after the Mississippi Delta. By 1934, Delta Air launched mail service from Charleston to Fort Worth, including Atlanta, Augusta and other stops in Georgia.
