Japan Airline (JAL)

The airline operates both scheduled and non-scheduled flights to domestic and important international destinations all over the world. Headquarters of this airline is located at Shinagawa, Tokyo, Japan.

Japan Airlines (also recognized as JAL) is the national flag carrier airline of Japan. The airline was established in the year 1950. Major hubs of the airline are the Narita International Airport and Tokyo International Airport. Out of these airports, Narita airport is used for International flights and Tokyo airport is utilized for domestic flights. The airline company is better known as Japan Air Lines Co., Ltd. It was after the Second World War, when the Japanese government decided to have a reliable transportations system to enable an economic reconstruction of Japan. The international services of the airline began in the year 1954, when it flew from Tokyo to San Francisco.

Apart from the Japan Airlines, Japan had two other flight operators- Nippon Airways and Japan Air System. But in the year 2001, Japan Air System and Japan Airlines made an agreement to merge. They merged to form the new Japan Airlines system.

In Europe alone, the airline covers places like Italy, France, Germany, Netherlands, Russia and United Kingdom. In the United States, the airline serves destinations like San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Kailua-Kona, Honolulu, Chicago and Anchorage. The airline also operates its flights to Mexico, Canada and Australia.
