Visa Information
First-time travellers to the SCHENGEN-State should submit their application in person either to the Austrian Embassy in New Delhi or the nearest Austrian Consulate (Kolkata, Chennai, Goa and Mumbai) and submit a letter from the employer giving Employment Contract and the salary slips of the last three months.

This authority must be attested by a Gazetted Officer and accompanied by evidence of the parent?s identity (for example, the passport). Business
For business people wishing to visit Australia for a period of up to three months a short stay business visitor visa is required. The visa allows for work-related activities such as business meetings and discussions. Applications should be made on form 456 and must be accompanied by the visa fee, in the form of a bank draft payable to the Australian High Commission in New Delhi and ?Australian Consulate General? Mumbai .

Temporary
The applicant should have a passport valid for at least three months from the date of departure from the Schengen State; one visa form (photocopy allowed); one recent passport-size photograph; confirmed return/ onward air ticket; a covering letter from employer on company's letter head (signed by an authorised person) stating designation, since when employed, salary per month and leave sanction. The holiday entitlement should also be mentioned. A hotel booking giving name address and telephone numbers of the hotel; original overseas health and accident insurance valid for the stay in the Schengen-State; original latest income tax return form with its photocopy and original latest bank statement/ printout of current account, bank statement of savings accounts, statement of credit cards, including address and telephone number of the bank should also be submitted. Student
Children under 18 travelling without one or both parents must provide written authority from the non-accompanying parent authorising their travel to Australia. This authority must be attested by a Gazetted Officer and accompanied by evidence of the parent?s identity (for example, the passport). There are A Student Visa permits the holder to travel to, enter and remain in Australia for the duration of the registered course of study. Overseas students cannot undertake part-time study in Australia and must leave Australia on completion of their course of study. Student visa applicants from India, Nepal and Bhutan are required to undergo a Pre-Visa Assessment (PVA).

Transit
This category include people who intend to remain in Australia for less than 72 hrs, and who provide satisfactory evidence that the principal purpose in passing through Australia is:
* To travel on to another destination- The visa application should be accompanied by a valid passport; a recent passport size photograph(the photograph must be signed by each individual); complete itineary showing onward destination, including the valid visa; onward; ticket and evidence of sufficient funds.
* Seamen joining a vessel- The application should be accompanied by a travel document, which include seamen's book. Details to be supplied are: names of the people joining the ship as a crew; names of the people they are replacing, name of the ship, date of arrival in Australia; port and date they expected to join the ship. Processing time is 24 to 72 hours.
Visa is gratis.
Visa is required. Documentation and fee are same as for Tourist visa.

Airlines Thai Airways International (TG)

+ Bangkok International (BKK) is 22km north of the city. Airport facilities include duty free shops, bank, bar, restaurant, left luggage, first aid, chemist and car hire. Train, Bus and Taxi service are available.
+ Chiang Mai International Airport(CNX) is 15km (9 miles) from the city. Taxi service is available to the city centre.
+ Phuket International Airport (HKT) is 35km (22 miles) northwest of Phuket. Buses and taxis are available to the city centre. Airport facilities include left luggage, duty free shops, first aid, banks, post office, car hire, tourist information and restaurant.
+ Hat Kai International (HDY) has recently been opened; so far it is only used for flights to Asian Destinations and domestic flights.

Visa Information
Tourist
The applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of expiry of visa; one visa form (photocopy not allowed since paid form); two passport-size photographs (2?x2?? front view, recent and print full name on the back of each photo) to be pasted on the forms; confirmed onward/ return ticket; visa for next destination of travel; foreign exchange endorsement of at least US $500 is essential to cover period of intended stay. If the applicant is undertaking a cruise, the cruise confirmation along with the itinerary for each individual passenger is required. Visa is valid for 90 days and can be issued for a stay of 60 days. Extension of further 30 days is possible under consideration of the Thai Immigration in Thailand. Processing time is 24 hours. Visa fee is as follows to be paid in form of Bank Draft in favour of "Royal Thai Embassy" payble in New Delhi.

Non-Immigration
It is issued to students, individuals going for training, attending conferences, meetings.
For students
All the basic mentioned documents are necessary for this visa. Also needed is a letter of admission to the school or university in Thailand; proof of registration of the school or university in Thailand; evidence of funds (expenses for hotel/dormitory, course fees etc) and certificate to show that the last course of study in the previous year has been successfully completed. (e.g. school leaving certificate/degree certificate).
For training or attending seminars/conferences/meetings
All the above mentioned documents must be completed. Also needed is a letter from the employer of the company in India where the individual is presently employed mentioning his responsibility towards the employee who is being sent to Thailand for a meeting or training etc.; letter of invitation from the company in Thailand; tax and registration papers of the Thai company; for attending a seminar/meeting the itinerary must be provided and also the registration to attend the conferences/seminars etc and hotel voucher from the hotel where the booking has been done for the intended period of stay in Thailand.
Non-Immigrant - ?B? Visa (Business)
1. All the above mentioned documents are necessary for this visa. Also required are: a business letter stating the nature of the business or job description, salary, terms of employment contract, guarantor in Thailand signed by an authorized person; documents verifying signature of before-mentioned authorized person; Company Registration and share holders certificate and updated tax papers of the company and of the before-mentioned authorized person. Second time Non Immigrant-?B? visa applicants must submit their work permit renewal slip and personal tax papers.

Also required are: a business letter stating the nature of the business or job description, salary, terms of employment contract, guarantor in Thailand signed by an authorized person; documents verifying signature of before-mentioned authorized person; Company Registration and share holders certificate and updated tax papers of the company and of the before-mentioned authorized person. Second time Non Immigrant-?B? visa applicants must submit their work permit renewal slip and personal tax papers. If a Non-Immigrant 'B' visa is required for an individual to work in a company registered under BOI (Board of Investment) or the Thai government, then it is necessary to submit a letter from the BOI or the pertaining governmental agency for verification of the work quota (showing how many positions have been filled). If the company is not under BOI/Thai Government, then a letter of verification from the Ministry of Labour stating the number of foreigners recruited by the firm and the number of positions occupied by them must be submitted; period of stay in Thailand is for 90 days with no extension unless prior approval from the Thai Immigration Authorities is taken.

Non-Immigrant -?O? Visa (Others)
It is issued for family visits.
All the basic documents are necessary. In case of a student studying in Thailand this category of visa can be issued only for the mother but if the mother is deceased then only will it be granted to the father. This visa can be issued to the spouse, children, parents, brothers and sisters. Others will be treated on per case basis.
Relatives of the individual employed in Thailand must also submit the following:
(a) Sponsorship letter
(b) Proof of relationship-marriage certificate, birth certificate etc
(c) Copy of the passport, work permit .
(d) Proof of employment, proof of funds. Relatives of Thai citizens must also submit the following:
(a) Sponsorship letter
(b) Proof of relationship card
(c) Copy of Identification card
(d) Copy of House registration

Transit
Visa is required and is valid for three months with a maximum 5 day stay allowed. Processing time and documentation are as Tourist.
Visa fee is INR 300.

Reciprocal
