Airports Sepang (KUL)(Kuala Lampur), Bayan Lepas (PEN)(Penang), Kota Kinabula (BKI) and Kuching (KCH)

+ Kuala Lampur International Airport (KUL)(Sepang) is 50km (29 miles) south from Kuala Lampur. Buses and taxis go to the city. Airport facilities include duty free shops, restaurants and banks.
+ Penang (PEN)(Bayan Lepas) is 16km (10 miles) south of Georgetown. Airport facilities include duty free shops, restaurants, bar, car hire and banks.

Visa Information

Tourist
The applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Malaysia; one visa application form; (photocopy allowed); two passport-size recent photographs ( One is required in Chennai consulate); confirmed onward/ return air ticket with travel itinerary; onward visa; a typed covering letter from the applicant and foreign exchange endorsement on the passport are mandatory. Visa is valid for 90 days and more upto one year and stay issued is at the discretion of the Immigration Authorities at entry. Processing time is three working days.

Business
Application procedures are as for Tourist visa. Additional requirements are: a typed covering letter from the Indian organisation recommending travel and nature of their business and a letter of invitation from the business associates in Malaysia. Other details are as for Tourist Visa.

Transit
Transit visa is available on arrival for a stay not exceeding 120 hours and provided traveller holding onward confirmed ticket and entry visa for next destination. Conditions apply. Kindly check with Malaysian High Commission or Malaysian Airlines before travel.

Seamen
Visa is required. Indian seamen travelling on duty must hold Letter of Guarantee from the shipping company with seamen book, passport and a confirmed air ticket. A fax message from the shipping company in Malaysia giving particulars of the seamen, date and port of joining the ship is required. Documentation is the same as for Tourist.

Work
The applicant should have a passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Malaysia; one visa form; two passport size photographs; a typed covering letter from the applicant explaining the purpose of visit and work permit approval from the Immigration Department Malaysia in original and confirmed air ticket. Processing time is three working days. An entry visa is issued, and period of stay is granted at the time of entry into Malaysia.

Visa Information
Tourist
The applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the period of stay allowed in Mauritius; two visa forms (photocopy allowed) duly completed; two recent passport-size photographs; confirmed onward/ return air ticket; onward visa and proof of adequate funds in form of foreign exchange endorsement on passport with original receipt. Confirmed booking of accommodation is also required. If sponsored by a Mauritian citizen, then letter from sponsor stating name, address and relationship is required. Visa is valid for 90 days and can also be issued for a maximum stay of 90 days. Processing time is 24 hours. Visa is gratis and is issued only for single entry.

Business
Application procedures are as above. Additional requirements are: a covering letter from the local firm/company recommending travel stating the designation of the applicant and a letter of Invitation from business counterparts clearly stating the nature of business and duration of stay in Mauritius. For certain businesses, work permit for the corresponding period may also be required. Other details are as above.

Transit
Visa is required. Application procedures are same as Tourist visa, validity is for 3 months with a 72 hour stay allowed.

Seamen
Visa is not required. Indian seamen travelling on duty must hold Letter of Guarantee from the shipping company with seamen book, passport and air ticket.

Work
Work permit will be arranged by the employer through ?Passport and Immigration Office? and the ?Ministry of Environment, Human Resource Development and Employment? in Mauritius and it is sent to the passenger in original. The employer should also arrange for the Residence Permit, since work permit alone is not sufficient for entry into Mauritius. The applicant should not proceed to Mauritius until all formalities have been completed. The passenger should come personally to the Embassy with valid passport and confirmed air ticket and the permit will be attested by the Embassy. Processing time is 24 hours.
